Ian, not from a farming background, took his first steps into agriculture following a family holiday aged 9. Bitten with the farming bug he worked on local farms at weekends and school holidays before studying at Myerscough College in Lancashire. Ian has worked on a variety of farms in the UK and Canada, most notable the Weeton & Avenham herds in the Northwest of England. Following an on farm career Ian moved into the allied industry with feed and fertiliser consultancy before taking up a franchise with LKL Services in 2008. Through LKL Ian undertakes farm recruitment services and staffing consultancy in the UK and internationally, is a founder of the dairy management academy and set up the national herdsmans conference. Ian has worked across the globe including Ireland , Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Russia.

I came to the UK and worked on a dairy worker for seven years on 850 cow unit. In 2015 I became a full-time recruiter for LKL and have successfully recruited over 1,000 people from Eastern Europe.
My strengths lie in overcoming challenges, supporting candidates and managing relationships.
